Nielsen's Florist & Garden Shop

Thank you Michele! You gave me thorough step by step guidance two weeks on how to dig up Japanese Iris from my late Mom's home and how to replant them in new hardness zone 220 miles north of Darien before the frost sets in. I am attaching three photos of the before, during and after. I will be coming back to Darien and Nielsen's soon to order flowers for her funeral service and hope to say hello and thank you personally. All God's blessings to you.

I had the absolute BEST experience last week at Nielsen's. I was in a huge rush for a design job deadline, and I came to Nielsen's hoping they might be able to help me fill some large decorative containers with moss. Vivienne jumped right in and was amazing. She showed me exactly what I needed, helped me make the arrangements, and sent me on my way with perfect looking centerpieces. I wasn't expecting to get it all done so quickly and efficiently, but Vivienne went above and beyond to help me get the look I needed quickly. I will definitely be back and I'm so grateful to now have a super knowledgable and talented florist to contact for future projects.

I had the make wonderful experience at Nielsen’s with Viviane! I brought my great grandfather’s wooden toolbox into Nielsen‘s to see if they could help me turn it into a centerpiece for my dining room. Viviane was so helpful in assisting me to select artificial flowers and arrange them beautifully to turn this family antique into a gorgeous piece of decor for my home. I highly recommend!

I hosted my sister’s baby shower in the greenhouse at Nielsen’s in Nov 2023. The venue was a dream and the service was best-in-class. Bob Sabia of Nielsen’s was communicative, creative and helpful in transforming the space into an open and airy brunch wonderland. Bob’s friendly and welcoming attitude made the planning process run smoothly. Bob was attentive to the timeline, floor plan setup and real-time requests for air conditioning on an unseasonably warm November day. Matt of Michael Joseph’s catering (connected to Nielsen’s) was accommodating to every food, beverage and furniture rental request. Upon our first phone call, Matt instantly understood the theme and vision for the day. The food was phenomenal and endlessly complimented throughout the event. I can’t believe we landed this venue - it was better than we could have imagined. Thank you, Bob & Matt for letting us host a memorable occasion at Nielsen’s.

I’ve been going to Nelson’s for decades. I can always count on the surroundings to feed my soul. Beauty abounds. Vivian’s talent for merchandising and her outstanding customer service, make it an absolute joy to do business with them. I’ve had several silk floral arrangements made over the the years as you can see in the photos. They are show pieces in my home.
